Santhosh Kumaran Kelathody is a Scientist at Nofima, Norway in the Department of Production Biology. He works with the development of methods based on artificial intelligence in relation to the digitalization of aquaculture. His research focuses primarily on using computer vision and machine learning for fish welfare. He obtained his PhD from IIT Bhubaneswar, India in 2020 with a dissertation titled «Computer Vision in Intelligent Transportation Systems: Challenges and Possibilities». He used unsupervised learning for the detection and tracking of moving objects, path-based path learning, and used the methods to predict the duration of traffic signals in the context of road traffic..
Før han kom til IIT Bhubaneswar jobbet han med Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. i 10 år (2005-2015) og Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) som forsker i rundt 2 år (2003-2004) etter sin bachelor-grad i teknologi. I løpet av sin periode hos Huawei jobbet han med flere signalprotokoller som Diameter, Radius, SIP, osv. i rollen som utvikler, teknisk leder og prosjektleder.
