Biografi Vibeke Høst

Jeg er senioringeniør i avdeling Råvare og Prosess og har jobbet her siden 1993. Jeg er utdannet Bioingeniør fra Rikshospitalet og jobbet ved avdeling for Patologi på Rikshospitalet tidligere. Jeg jobber med mikroskopiske teknikker som lysmikroskopi, inkludert fluorescence- og konfokal-mikroskopi, samt skanning elektronmikroskopi og anvendelse av disse på ulike vev, matvarer, emballasje og emulsjoner. Jeg jobber også med ulike proteinanalyser som gel-elektroforese (1D, 2D og zymografi), proteaseaktivitet (kalpain, katepsiner og MMP’er) og proteomikk for å forstå hvordan proteiner påvirker råvarekvalitet og funksjonalitet. For å analysere spesifikke proteiner bruker jeg immunologiske metoder som Western blotting og immunohistokjemi.
