Biografi Sissel Rønning

Jeg er en forsker med erfaring fra bioteknologi, matforskning og medisinsk forskning med stor interesse og engasjement for vitenskap. Jeg er sivilingeniør i genteknologi ved UiTø og har en doktorgrad om GMO fra Veterinærinstituttet. Etter doktorgraden jobbet med kreftforskning og humanmedisin ved Institutt for Patologi, Rikshospitalet. Der var jeg opptatt av kreftutvikling, og hvorfor kreftceller ikke slutter å signalisere og dermed bare fortsetter veksten. I dag jobber jeg som forsker ved Nofima AS, hvor jeg er ansvarlig for in vitro cellesystemer. Jeg er interessert i muskelutvikling og matkvalitet, bioaktivitet, mat og helse.
