Biografi Oddvin Sørheim

Eg er tilsett som forskar i Nofima, og har arbeida ved instituttet sidan 1985. Forskinga mi er mest retta mot pakking av kjøt og andre matvarer, i tillegg til farge på kjøt. På dette fagområdet har eg drive forsking, oppdrag, opplæring og konsulentarbeid i mange deler av verda. For meir informasjon om gasspakking av kjøt; sjå vedlagte web-link. Andre interesser omfattar mørhet av kjøt, varmskjering av kjøt, teknologi for middagsrettar, minsking av matsvinn, kjøtproduksjon i Afrika, samt salting av kjøt og fisk med bruk av datatomograf (CT) for å måla salt. Utdanninga mi er cand.agric (1982) og dr. agric (2000), begge frå Norges miljø- og biovitenskapelige universitet. Tittelen på dr. avhandlinga er «Effektar av gasspakking på farge og lagringsevne for raudt kjøt». Eg har vore gjesteforskar ved Kansas State University (1989/90), Utah State University (2002) og Insititut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries i Spania (2007/08).
