Biografi Muhammad Waqas

I have background in food engineering, my main competence lies in the rheological measurments of food/pharma materials. In the past, (2014-2019) I have been working with specialized foods for specific segments of the society such as the elderly. Dyphagia is a growing concern specially in the developed world due to increasing elderly population. During my previous assigment at RISE Sweden, along with my group we worked at designing specialized foods using the knowledge of rheology. Non-invasive rhoelogical measurements were made in human throat during swallowing while an in-vitro device was built that mimics human swallowing (healthy and dysphagic). The project led to 5 published scientic articles and a book chapter in peer reviewed journals.
