Without international cooperation, dealing with global food crime is impossible. Now, a European standard on terminology and concepts related to food fraud is being formulated, so as to ensure univocal communication on the subject.
In this project, we work to improve food safety and deter food fraud within the EU and China.
The goal is to facilitate sustainable cooperation between national and international research funding bodies in the area of food authenticity, to improve the competitiveness of the food supply chain and the consumer confidence in it, by means of better‐coordinated, cost‐effective R&D.
