In this project the main goal was to see how sealworm and codworm in cod reacted when the fish was stored at different temperatures. The hypothesis was that the worm will try to escape from the cold temperature, when the fish was stored in very cold water, the worm will leave the muscle and go to the intestines. The results from this project show that for cod stored in water with low temperature (-1,5ºC), there was no effect on the positioning of the worms, with high temperature the worms started to move and was most active around 30ºC. To warm up the fish to get rid of the worms is not an alternative, because of the quality loss.
