Documentation of food safety, - quality and extended product information are part of modern seafood production. In traditional fisheries international standards for environmental sustainability is established for many fish stocks. A Computerized Traceability System is now a necessary electronic tool that create added value to the product or is a necessary door opener, in a tough global competition. This project has developed a platform to communicate relevant tracking- and product information between business partners in the seafood value chain. It`s also developed a catchcertificate module that integrates data with the Norwegian webportal Catch Certificate Engine (CCE), which issue and validate catch certificates for fishery products exported from Norway to the European Community.
