New Director of Corporate Communications

Morgan Lillegård (50) has been appointed as the new Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Nofima, and he takes over in the New Year.

“I’m really looking forward to starting this job. Nofima is Europe’s largest institute for applied research within the fields of food, aquaculture and fisheries. This will be a great opportunity for me to use my knowledge to disseminate as much as possible about this work to as many people as possible,” says Lillegård.

“I’m pleased that Nofima is able to continue the positive development and with a person like Morgan Lillegård we can continue our work with determined dissemination of the significance of the industry-oriented research for value creation in the food producing industries,” says Nofima CEO Øyvind Fylling-Jensen.

Lillegård’s background is in journalism and his last role in the media was as News Editor of Bladet Tromsø. For the past five years Lillegård has been Communications Manager at the Tromsø City Council and prior to that he managed the Tromsø office of communication consultancy company Nord-Norsk Kommunikasjon.

Nofima wishes to further develop and strengthen its market position, including through strategic communication.

“It was important for me that Nofima is so clear in its goal about strategic communication,” says Lillegård.

“In addition, Nofima has taken an active role in society, which I like, and I’m really looking forward to joining the team from the New Year.”
