One of my main responsibilities will be to follow up and to fortify our research aimed at the industry, with the purpose of creating a competitive, knowledge based industry using both marine and terrestrial raw materials. In order to achieve this, we need excellent cooperation with the industry, professional organisations and premise providers for research. I also wish to heighten the competence of our employees, so that we can be at the forefront of competence development," says Øyvind Fylling-Jensen.

Fylling-Jensen has a wide experience from biotechnology, from the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries and from the aquaculture industry. He completed his veterinary degree in Germany in 1981 and has a doctorate in veterinary science from 1985.
