Food award to salmon sausage maker

Sagamat, which produces products including salmon sausages, received the food award at the Trøndelag Food Festival in Trondheim.

"We have had an extremely good collaboration with Fiskeriforskning in Tromsø (now Nofima Marine), and we see there are major opportunities to combine raw materials from fisheries and agriculture," says Managing Director Arvid Hatling to the fisheries newspaper FiskeribladetFiskaren.

Nofima has assisted Sagamat with specialist support, information and documentation.

The award was presented by the Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs Helga Pedersen during the festival opening on Thursday.
