My research activities within molecular fish biology deal with muscle growth, haemoglobin polymorphism, sex determination and gonadal development. The comparative studies comprise a variety of species, particularly cod, halibut and salmon, and focus on genetic variation and temperature effects on expression of key regulatory factors. My special interest in functional genomics is based on my background within fish physiology and biochemistry.
