Biography Gøril Voldnes
I am a scientist working at Nofima since 2004. I have a PhD in Marketing, focusing on business relationships across cultures.
I have an educational background from Russian language and culture studies from the University of Tromsø and St. Petersburg,
combined with a Master in Fishery Science from the Norwegian College of Fisheries in Tromsø. My research focus is much related to marketing and market orientation of Norwegian Seafood in different countries.

The main objective with the project is to provide the knowledge necessary to achieve sustainable exploitation of farmed lumpfish.
1. January 2018 – 31. December 2020
The main objective of this project is to investigate the non-tariff barriers faced by Norwegian seafood exporters in the process of (enterprise) internationalization.
18. April 2017 – 1. September 2020
Snow crab is a relatively new species for the Norwegian seafood industry. The aim of this project has been to contribute towards a sustainable crab fishery in the future and to make the best possible use of this new resource.
10. September 2015 – 31. March 2018
What characterizes the markets for live snow crab and king crab? Industrial marketing was this project's primary focus.
