I am an engineer in the department of nutrition and feed technology. I mainly work with fillet quality of farmed salmon. This can be related to disease, feed/feeding, production etc. In order to understand underlying mechanisms, gene expression in the living animal is often studied.
In the EcoSorb project, a novel and more environmentally friendly liquid absorber pad for fresh food products is developed, which will result in increased use of renewable raw materials and reduced use of plastic materials from fossil fuels.
