During this project, we will be identifying how the use of various types of commercial fishing gear affect the physiology and mortality of cod and thus their welfare and quality. We will also be investigating the links between ethical fishing, quality and price.
1. January 2019 – 31. January 2021
During this project, the researchers shall gather new, multidisciplinary knowledge about how the marine industries can coexist in a good way along the coast, and develop new methodologies and models for such coexistence.

Snow crab is a relatively new species for the Norwegian seafood industry. The aim of this project has been to contribute towards a sustainable crab fishery in the future and to make the best possible use of this new resource.

In this multi-disciplinary project we have studied the entire value chain for mackerel and farmed salmon.
