We cordially invite you to the 3rd Norwegian Food Market Research Conference that will be held at the School of Business and Economics, 2-3 November, 2017. The conference is a joint initiative between Nofima, School of Business and Economics at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, School of Economics and Business at NMBU, and UiS Business School. The conference, covering all aspects of the food and market continuum, is a biyearly event rotating between Stavanger, Ås and Tromsø.

The conference will start with lunch at the School of Business and Economics 2 November. After lunch, the conference start with a keynote speach. In the evening, we will have a nice social evening together. We will continue the conference at the School of Business and Economics until lunch the next day.

The conference was held the first time in Stavanger in 2013. In 2015, the conference was organized by Nofima Ås and the School of Economics and Business at NMBU. The conference is on the way to become one of Norway’s main forum for research related to food and food markets. The conference targets both domestic and international scholars, researchers and practitioners, with the intention of sharing up to date research and develop interesting new research ideas from the interaction between the participants.

We invite papers within all areas of the interface between food and markets, for example sensorics, economics, psychology, consumer behavior, marketing, social anthropology and sociology, to name a few. Our goal is to broaden the participants’ perspectives of food and food markets by illustrating the many aspects of research on food markets and food consumption.
